Today, I want to talk to you about being in a community of writers. It’s important to have that support surrounding you. You may get support from your non-writing friends who say, “Oh, you’re writing a book? Cool!” but at the end of the day, they just don’t really understand you like writing friends do.

There are writer communities all around us. All you have to do is look for them. You may be like me who found a writer community just by looking online. I guarantee you that the answer is out there.

I wanted to add the shout out in the title today because it has very much to do with what I was talking about. I was just on The Newbie Writers Podcast on Friday. It was a lot of fun to just sit and talk writing for an hour. The Newbie Writers is just a community of (can you guess?) new writers. Make sure to check out their podcast. It’s helpful. Thank you Damien for allowing me to be on.

Check them out (:

Even if you aren’t a new writer anymore, it’s still important to have writer friends. This blog is to help build a community of both new and experienced writers. The reason I put my email at the end of every blog post is so I can get to know you individually.

If you ever want to say anything at all, please feel free to contact me at whatnottowriteandwritingtips@gmail.com, or follow me on twitter at @SCourtney94. I would love to get to know all of my readers.

As always, keep the faith, writers. I believe in you all.
