Today, I’m going to talk about being prepared. I know, it can be a boring topic, but hey, we all need to be prepared, right?
Being prepared for anything is important. You need to be prepared for rejections. You need to be prepared for acceptances. You need to be prepared to just write.
That last one is me today.
I got on the new post page, and I was thinking, “What am I going to write about today, anyway?” That’s when I knew. I wasn’t prepared, so I decided to write about being prepared.
You have a schedule that you want to keep for your blog, right? Some people do, some people don’t. I do. I don’t always get to it. Some days I’m out of town, some days I just don’t have a chance with the holidays. You know, things happen. Life happens. But, I try to update my blog three times a week.
If you have a schedule, try to be prepared to write. Know what you’re going to write about. You need to. It’s important. Your readers will enjoy it, too.
I admit, this isn’t the first time I didn’t know what I was going to write about until just before, but I like to keep that to as minimal as possible. The days that I don’t know what I’m going to write about until just before are the days that I don’t have great posts.
That’s right, my readers aren’t the only ones that notice it.
So, don’t be like me. Be prepared. What’s that saying? If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Keep the faith, writers. I believe in you all.
