I know I keep saying this, but prompts will eventually be making a return. I hope. As long as I can make myself actually do them after midnight on a Thursday night, it will actually be Friday. That’s going to be more hopeful than anything, I would think.

Okay, so now we’ve covered that. It’s another Monday, so it’s time to look at what the trouble with writing is yet again. This week, we’re talking about lack of sleep.

As writers, we lose a lot of sleep. It’s just a fact. We get our best ideas at night and absolutely cannot sleep until we have them down. This happens to everyone (at least I hope I’m not the only one…).

It affects our day job. It affects our ability to write during the day. We can’t stay awake long enough to do anything, right? Of course right.

We want to be able to sleep at night and work during the day, but something about those nagging ideas make us not be able to. Frustrating, isn’t it?

So, what do we do with being so tired? We move around. Get a little exercise. Do a little dance. I don’t know, do something to make your mind not be so gosh darn tired. I had to do that yesterday after the Easter celebrations. I didn’t even get any writing done…whoops!

I guess that’s about it for this Monday. And before anyone starts up about how this isn’t them, I know already. I’m generalizing. I’m only one person.
