I’m sorry I went MIA again on Monday. I promise Monday Murder will resume next Monday. I had my three-year-old niece visiting and it was impossible to get a moment in to get it up here.
Today, I’m going to talk to you about what I was going to talk about last week. We all need to take time out for fun. I know I do. That’s why I missed last week’s post. I was at Six Flags (a popular amusement park here in the States for those of you that don’t know) all day. I consider that fun. You have to get out of the constant work sometimes. Yes, I understand that writing is fun. I get that. I love writing. If I didn’t think it was fun, I wouldn’t do it. Let’s be honest with ourselves, though. Sometimes, writing is nothing more than a big pain in the ass. I’m guessing a lot of you going through the editing stage agree with me.
Writing can be really stressful sometimes. Take time out to enjoy life. Spend time with your family, read that book you’ve been wanting to read for a while, take some time to spend with friends. Do something to clear your mind and take some time out for fun. Who knows? Maybe you’ll come back with a clear head and be able to write the next great scene that you have. Try it. You might be surprised.
